Ann Pickett is a Georgia native who graduated from the University of Georgia and Georgia State University College of Law. She was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1999.
After beginning her legal career in private practice, Ann served as policy director for the Georgia Office of the Secretary of State. Following several years at the State Capitol, she joined the Alapaha Circuit District Attorney’s Office, where she served over four years as an assistant district attorney. Upon her parents’ retirement and relocation to North Georgia, Ms. Pickett transferred to the Enotah Circuit District Attorney’s Office. After returning to the private sector as a contracts administrator for a local pump manufacturing company in Toccoa, Ms. Pickett left to open her law firm, The Pickett Firm LLC. In January 2018, Ms. Pickett merged her practice into Sanders, Ranck, and Skilling. In addition to her private practice, Ann currently serves in her second term as the elected Solicitor General for Stephens County.
Ann is an experienced litigator, having practiced and represented the government and private clients in jury and bench trials before numerous judges in multiple judicial circuits and courts. Ann’s practice areas include grandparent visitation and custody, adult and minor guardianship cases, juvenile law, divorce and child custody cases, temporary protective orders, general civil litigation, probate law, and administrative law.
